World’s most expensive car for sale!

1962

This 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the world’s most sought after classic cars and may soon also become one of world’s most expensive. This classic Ferrari was recently put up for sale at £45 million (56 million US) in the UK. The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was the second to move off its creation line and is one of just 36 ever constructed.

The car also has a fine history. It was raced at Le Mans and Sebring due to it’s many impressive feats. It’s capable of 0 to 60mph in around six seconds and possesses a top speed of more than 170mph even after 50 years!

John Collins, who runs Ascot-based Ferrari pro Talacrest, is offering it for more than £45 million ($56 million). It is thought to be the first  GTO to be transparently advertised in the UK.

Bonhams sold a Ferrari 250 GTO at a US sell off in 2014 when it went for $38 million (£30 million). The last time a GTO was sold before this was in 1990.

In 1969 it was sold for $5,400 and afterward once more, soon thereafter, for $11,000. The car changed submits 1975 when it was purchased by a Mr Steve Griswold for $13,000 who restored the car before selling it in 1978 for $125,000.

With a $56 million dollar price tag, the 250 GTO is very costly and it will take a big time buyer to secure the purchase. Let’s wait and see who this beauty goes too!
